He knows the rules and chose to wear it, knowing they would fine him. As I understand it the fine goes to charity, so to me its just a non issue. I imagine they have to fine players otherwise Nike et al wouldn't be willing to spend the big marketing dollars. Its token rebellion and showmanship from a star player. 10grand to a guy who got 21 million guaranteed is proportionally equivalent to a nickel.

I took it as he was just having fun with the whole "rift with Shanahan" deal. The NFL clearly does stand for the no fun league.

Chris Thompson looks small in this picture! Not only short, but also not very stout. I hope he holds up. Thanks for posting the pictures, NC.

Yeah, how dare he wear a positive message on a shirt while half of the league sports thug tattoos for the kids to emulate.

Love the one commment made on he article:

Goodell would have had a stroke if he would have had to deal with Jim McMahon.

GREAT PHOTOS, NCSKINS! Thanks for sharing.

It does matter what he wears. He has multiple contracts and agreements that tell him what he's allowed to wear during the game. Anytime he's at work he should be wearing his work clothes.

It's just like wearing your uniform for work. You have to wear it..

NFL is a business.

I see your point that the NFL is a business and that he should wear his uniform to "work". But where I'm coming from is: how could it possibly matter what kind of shirt he's wearing, as long as it's not way out of line? He wasn't even playing, just warming up. The NFL is over policing players: from this, to fining Bostic, to fining Brian Urlacher $100,000 for wearing an unauthorized hat at the Super Bowl, to the new running back rule. THE NFL IS FINE, GOODELL! STOP F****** WITH IT!

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0

Apparently opened up a charity luncheon today with the line "I would have given $10,000, but the NFL took it from me." (Keim, Paulson twitters).

lololol

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0

Is Hankerson still short arming balls and ducking out of routes is the more important question. Sorry for switching up but is it just me or is he playing too timid.

Nikon D7000

I'm a noob with it so I imagine the pictures could be much better. It does great with continuing motion shots as noted by the sequence of the below swing pass to Helu.
