True, the 49ers had cap problems after Vinny left, but look at the 49ers in the 1990s. They won the Super Bowl in 1994. They went to the playoffs in in EVERY year from 1990-1998 except 1991. I'd trade cap hell for a Super Bowl victory and playoff appearances in 8 of 9 years. I guess it's up to who you really believe, the media, or straight from the horses mouth with Vinny. |
