Great replies, matty & smootsmack. A good show of professionalism in the face of idiocy is quite a feat.

here here

I know I share the same feelings as the others on this site in that it was so awesome to find a site of fellow skins fans to talk to about our team. I must echo the praises for the hard work(and money) you, Mattyk72, and everyone else who puts forth the effort into providing this site for us. While we may all have slighty different or even opposing views on some topics discussed, I think pretty much every member appreciates this site and those who have made it possible.
Thank you for your hard work and .

The great thing about this site is the difference of opinion. I'm probably the only person within a 100 mile radius of DC that would still like to see Spurrier involved in the Redskin's orginization. I like Gibbs, but I really think Spurrier has potential. Now, on most forums people would be closed minded and blast me from here to the moon, but not on this forum! People will take little shots, which is more than fine because I put my share in and it's all in fun.

I've learned so much in the few months I've been on this site it's amazing. Everything from the mods such as Matty, JoeCrisp, and SmootSmack with their great analysis of moves and strategy that I was previously unaware of, to the number crunching that CrazyCanuck does. I'm also put into awe everytime I see how well Sports, Offiss, and most every other poster puts into their replys.

I for one am glad there is a messageboard on the internet with an intelligent user-base that can answer nearly any Redskin question you have within 20 minutes. Everyone is friendly and more than willing to give you a hand. On one hand I want this board to get the recognition it deserves, on the other I want it to stay just like it is so it isn't littered with people wasting space with profanity about the Cowboys. As much as I hate the Cowboys, it simply isn't productive.

Matty and the rest of the admin's here at the Warpath have really put a lot of time and effort into this site. They have my thanks, and I'm sure most everyone here will agree with me on this. Raleigh, I hope you think about this and issue Matty the apology he deserves. He's entitled to any decesion change he wants, we've all made them especially during the typical Redskin's offseason. Trotter is a great linebacker, if used correctly, which he hasn't been. I think Williams understands this and wasn't planning on using him how he's always played.

PS - SPURRIER RULES

I actually wouldn't be too against the notion of spurrier remaining on the redskins staff myself, Daseal. maybe as an offensive coordinater or something to that extent.

Daseal, I think you and I are a perfect example of two people that can have totally differing opinions yet we can always keep our discussions civil. LOL

Seems like we're always battling about Spurrier, but I do understand and respect your opinions as I'm sure you do mine.

Truth is we're all going to have differing opinions from time to time, after all that's what discussions are for and why we're here, how boring would it be if we all agreed?

Discussions may get heated once in a while and that's to be expected, but it's never personal, and I think most of us are mature enough to realize that.

Spurrier might make an OK cordinator somewhere, he'll go down as a great college coach. but to say he did anythign right when it came to running an organization is a huge understatement. I always got frusterated when someone would do something wrong and his responce would be to say that were all professionals and knwo what we did wrong and will work to correct it without him doing anything.

As a side note, I was very excited to read that Gibbs brough officials to the first minicamp practice. Although I dont want our players to be hurt it was a great opportunity for our backup online to learn to work together. I read they had a lot of false starts but its only march and theres plenty of time to start correcting the problem. As opposed to waiting until November...

I'll just say this-
I'm all for differences of opinion, and I have no problem with people disagreeing with me. That is indeed what makes these boards fun.
Also, all of my posts to this point have always been positive, and I've praised several of the moderators of this site.
But several of Matty's answers to my posts came off as curt and short. I don't mind someone disagreeing with me, but I do mind it if they are a smart ass to me.
How can any statement that begins with "quite simply" not be interpreted as smart assed, I ask you? Doesn't that imply "heh stupid, the answer is pretty simple?"
And I'm not the type to take that lying down.
I overreacted with my previous post and for that I apologize, but I do not think I was wrong.
In any event, I do appreciate the work you guys do for this site, and it is a great site.

Raleighskinsfan,

You are stoopid. I mean, letting your emotions get the best of you like a chick.... Maybe when you read Matty's post it was just your "time of the month!"

We all disagree and put each others posts down all the time. That part of the fun. Just give it right back to them. All of us (MattyK72 included) sometimes make dumb posts. Don't sweat it, just learn to laugh about it.
Ade Jimoh Fan Club has the best sense of humor on this site. His prior posts about Ade Jimoh are LOL funny.

Thanks for that defensewins. You're right.
And ouch Ade Jimoh Fan Club! That one hurt. The truth always does! I'll keep it in check in the future. That was very out of character for me. I usually keep a very cool demeanor.....

Note to self, never start a post with "quite simply" ever again.

What other smart-assed answers have I given you here, Raleigh? I'd really like to know.

Been out of touch for a while but figured this was a perfect time to jump back in.

Bashing Matty's post is ridiculous. I've been a member for years going back to the Yahoo days and if anything I've found Matty's posts to be TOO diplomatic at times. I generally agree with all his posts and I respect the way he gives his side without "calling anyone out". He also usually backs up his points with reasons so if you do disagree with him, at least you can understand where he's coming from. All in all I think he's a great moderator (along with the others), and we should all be grateful for the dedication he (they) has put into this site.

The whole point of this board is to read different opinions. That's how you learn. I know personally I've changed my view a few times after reading what others had to think. If we all agreed on everything there would be no point.

Take Daseal for example. He would rather have Spurrier than Joe Gibbs. This is one of the most ludicrous statements I've ever heard in my life. But I LOVE Daseal's posts and would sorely miss them if he were gone. He's a great devil's advocate and makes us all step back and look at things more objectively.

I think the Warpath is the best board site out there. The fans here are very knowledgeable and more importantly very respectful of each other's views and posts. Take that new guy who could barely spell as an example.

So I urge everyone to chill and enjoy. In case you haven't noticed Joe Gibbs is back. I've been smiling for months and hope I never wake up.

Now I'm gonna go find one of Daseal's posts so I can bash him. :smashfrea

GO SKINS

Mattyk-
The one about Trotter was the one that really angered me. But basically, every time I began a post on this site, I would get responses that agreed and disagreed with me, which I had no problem with. But each and every time, you disagreed with my position. Again, I have no problem with that- we're all entitled to our own opinions. But not only would you disagree, you would put in some quick, short statement in the tone that "it was a fact" and my opinion was ignorant. I had no idea what I'd done to piss you off so much, but the Trotter "quite simply" remark was what sent me over the edge.
Can you explain why you would say something like that to me or what I said to illicit that remark?
I have never, nor would I ever ridicule someone's opinion like that!
Whoever reads this can call me paranoid if they want, but I know this was the case.
In any event, you, me and all of us have better things to talk about. I aired my grievance and got it off my chest, now I'm done with it. Any and all can hate me if they will, but I only stay quiet for so long when I feel I'm being dissed!
So Crazy Canuck, I don't feel it's crazy to bash Matty's post. And I think, if you've read any of my other posts, you'll see I'm not some arrogant touchy ass. But I totally agree with you. Gibbs being back is like an answer to my prayers. I'm ready to just accentuate the positive from now on!
