Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing about Arrington.

And this year he scheduled to make less than $600,000. He is in his final year of his rookie contract, and even after becoming Defensive MVP, he still hasn't demanded a new contract and he's never held out from all the information I was able to find.
The biggest comparison you can make in the contracts is the term... thats where Taylor got screwed, not in the per yr numbers. Whats the avg. carreer span for a safety in this league? It cant be more than 8 9 yrs, and he's tied up in a low money contract for seven years. His agent should have told him not to take such a long rookie deal, but he didn't and now he's fired. Now, Taylor fired his agent, but still feels cheated out of the career and lifestyle he's been working toward his whole life. It kinda taints the dream a little bit and without his dumbass agent around, he's going to take it out one someone else. That being the team. I dont agree with it because Im a fan of the team, but if I were a player, I might be a little weary of the Redskins FO myself.

Oh, and the guy who said Taylor didnt accomplish anything, he was an alternate to the pro-bowl as a rookie, and had better stats than Roy Williams across the board, who made the pro bowl. I'd say thats an accomplishment enough to make a statement.

To me Portis seems more like a clown, trying to be funny and entertaining all the time....as opposed to a "problem"...

Yep, he's kind of a clown, but don't forget he started to whine about the play calling and other teams figuring out our plays.......he should've discussed it with the coaches in the locker room instead of sharing it with the media..........

I'm beginning to think that's how all top athletes are starting to get...not just Portis...because they know it will get them attention. I think it is a lack of respect for their team and is disgusting.
That said, I still love my Redskins and alway will, "in good times and bad"....
