| I actually don't recall anyone in the skins organization saying they want to get rid of him. It's been media speculation: they signed Thrash, so they've got too many wideouts and someone has to go. The one with the most trade value (given they're not dealing Coles) is Gardner. Now, some of us feel that he hasn't reached his potential. He's inconsistent, and he doesn't really know how to use his pretty serious size to dominate as a possession receiver. But NONE of this, as far as I know, comes from Gibbs or the FO. Plus, Gardener doesn't cost too much this year, so why not keep him and see if Gibbs can lite a fire under his ass? I kinda like him, but he's gotta take the next step!

Basicly Gardner is the best receiver we have that we can also stand to lose. Therefore he's the one that might get us SOMETHING in a trade.

Also, last year it was rumored on ESPN that several teams inquired about Gardener around draft time

I think gardner is a decent reciever, but with the resigning of mccants and trading for thrash and gibbs praising jacobs, i think that its pretty clear that gardner will be traded sometime in the near future and whoever gets gardner will steal him from the skins for a 3rd or 4th round pick.

This is why I think we should deal him: 1) He's been known to get holding calls against him. Every week before games, coaching staffs get to talk to the refs. The teams express concerns about calls that should be made against the opposing team that the refs need to watch out for. I can almost guarantee 100% that each week, the Skins opponents tell the refs to watch out for #87 and holding. 2) He is an inconsistent receiver, IMO. He has dropped quite a few balls that absolutely drove me crazy. 3) He's in the final year of his contract, so we may as well get something for him if he's just gonna be let loose next year. 4) Ever heard him in an interview? Nuff said. (this is not really a performance based point...) WV - Wild and Wonderful, especially when they beat VT

I don't know how many others live in the virginia area and watch comcast sportsnite but during their discussion about the thrash trade and mccants resigning, they mentioned the possibility of gardner being traded on draft day in a possible bigtime deal. I can't remember 100% or not but I think they even used the words "possible blockbuster." do u think they've been tipped off or just stirring the pot a bit? maybe the rumour of trading gardner and some of next years picks aren't too far of a stretch.

I remember those CSN guys saying something a bit off the wall a few months ago. They are a small network (relatively) and go out on journalistic limbs to get viewers. About WV, I work with a guy who's brother was on TV the last time those people stormed the field after a mountaineers loss. He was climbing the uprights and getting maced by police at the same time. Quite humorous.

I think a 3rd or 4th and a team would bite. Someone with a lot of holes to fill, no one seems to really agree with me, but that never stopped me before 8)

Are you crazy daseal??? YOUR SO STUPID!!! haha, just kidding around. That would be freaking awsome if we could pull out some type of deal to get Taylor and KW II here. Would we be able to sign both of them though?? I heard today our cap # as of right now is 1.5 million. I'm not sure what the Trotter trade could get us, but as of right now, we could proboly only afford to have one anwyays, wouldnt you think?
