| Testaverde expected to sign with Cowboys http://www.foxsports.com/content/view?contentId=2281588 Should this scare us? What are your thoughts of the Tuna, Keyshawn, and Vinny back together again? |

| I would have been scared 5 years ago. Vinny is way past his prime, I don't think he would even be able to beat out QC at this point. I think Key will be decent down there though, he should easily lead the team in catches, probably in the 80-90 range. |

| Not at all worried. I really tihnk the starter for Dallas next year will be Quincy Carter. I dont htink Henson will have had enough time to develop, considering his time off, and Vinny is just too old to be playing now. |

| I am not worried about vinny from a QB perspective but as a teacher to Carter this could be pretty dangerous, Carter has tons of athletic ability, and Vinny is a great teacher (look at Pennington). |

| I imagine he'd be there more as a tutor to Henson. I could see Testaverde playing one more year then joining Parcells coaching staff

| I agree Vinny is past his prime, but as a teacher and Dallas having basicly 3 young QB's the future looks pretty intimidating. |

| Why should we be scared?? We've got Joe Gibbs, Brunnell, Ramsey, Portis, Arrington, Smoot, etc. etc. The freakin' boys should be scared!!!!!!

| I hope he starts for them because he's way over the hill. Man, the Cowboys really are weak at QB and RB ... it's amazing they won as many games as they did last season. Goes to show how far you can go with a good defense and nothing else. |

| Last year Vinny Testaverde proved to me that he can't hack it, Parcells won't change that. Sorry about your luck Big D, but you picked up 2 losing QB's this offseason. Note to Vinny: Retire! |

| wasn't vinny the one throwing dink and dunk passes against the skins last year? and like the milk in my fridge, he's way past his expiration date. he's pretty much just gonna be a tutor for henson and/or carter. |

| In his defense he didn't exactly have the best WR core to catch his balls. But yeah, his career is basicly over, but I'm a bit scared of what Quincy Carter can do with Parcells and Vinny teaching him everything they know. |

| This just goes to show how our division is definately going to be the best. I think Parcells is just trying to find a mentor for Henson and Carter, but I doubt Testaverde will start.

| Vinny's just an insurance policy. He's got one or two years left in him tops. But he is a Parcell's kinda guy. Truth be told, the only time Vinny had any consistent success was when Parcell's was there to keep the game plan simple and Vinny's mind (such as it is) focused. Vinny has always had great tools, is a good leadership guy, but not the brightest bulb in the closet. He'll stick around, show the young qb's the ropes and generally be a team focus guy. But if he has to do any long term starting, the Cowboys are sunk. Vinny played for Baltimore a few years back (where I live) and, even in his prime, he makes bad decisions at the worst times (think of a stronger armed, less mobile Tony Banks). In his stint with the Jets, Parcells was able to remedy some of Vinny's "concentration problems" but I would love to put Vinny in the game facing a Gregg Williams defense. The little hamster in Vinny's brain would freeze in panic!! |
