| Re: What's up with Gibbs? Hasn't anyone had a lot of shit to do and had some idiot asking a bunch of stupid questions? That's all that was. Nothing to be alarmed over. He's taking some heat for his offense, the Dallas game is the second biggest of the year (next to when we have them at home) and he probably was in the middle of 3 different things. I'm not concerned. In today's PC world, you can't just tell a reporter to **** off, even if his mic says redskins.comTV on it... |

I'm convinced more than half the fans on this site could ask more meaningful questions other than, what about this guy or that guy, or do you think the Dallas fans are mad at you? How ridiculous was that question? | |

My fiancee is diabetic and when her blood sugars are out of wack, she can get kind of cranky. I'm sure with the stress of preparing for Dallas this week, Gibbs is probably burning the candle on both sides....very hard on a diabetic.

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? joe gibbs is pissed and he wants one thing to cure his anger, which is dallas. he's more focused then ever, i think he's putting more thought into this game than any other one he's coached before, except maybe the superbowl. |

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? Gibbs is Henry Winkler, Parcells is Jerry Reed. Who's gonna be the waterboy and tell Gibbs to brave up against Parcells by thinking of something demure and non-scary? |

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? looked to me like he had eaten some TACO BELL earlier in the day and he needed to get to a toilet as fast as possible before he relaxed his butt-cheeks and brown liquid would start to run down his legs.

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? I watched the interview again and I think coach Gibbs has a chip on his shoulder! I don't think that's bad thing however. I think he's starting to lose patience with mediocore players, just like the media and some fans have lost patience with him. I also think last week's QB switch and Brown being cut is sending a message to the team. If we see a bunch of turnovers tomorrow night, I can guarantee you we'll see more cuts!

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? My feeling is that this is probably a side of Gibbs-tired, cranky, perhaps a bit agitated-that isn't all that uncommon. Yet, we the average fan rarely see it. We usually see Gibbs once he's had a chance to freshen up after a practice or game. I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's just Gibbs Unplugged (or something along those lines)

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? i like to see any emotion out of coach Gibbs. usually he's so focused on being neutral in front of the media, this means he's focused on other things. |

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? Watch Gibbs' press conferences through the week. They're all much more lively and talkative in the early part of the week, and then much more tight and reticent as we get nearer to game day. I don't think this is out of the ordinary--in fact, some Wash. Post article mentioned this pattern (can't remember the date, pretty recent--maybe the one right as the preseason ended?). The guy wants to win--that's all he thinks about all the time. That's why he sleeps in his office, etc. And this is a big game, Monday night, Dallas, the QB situation. Yeah, the man is on edge. BEAT DALLAS!!!!!

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? It looked as though Gibbs was fighting a cold of some sort....nose looked a little red and was sniffling etc......probably working those 15+ hour days. I also thought he was pissed they were asking him about the U G L Y comment he made. Very stupid ass questions. |

| Re: What's up with Gibbs? heading into a nationally televised road game vs. the franchise's long time dominant rival who's fans he called 'ugly'; coached by his personal long time dominant coach rival, after a hugely disappointing season and then making the quickest QB change in NFL history to last season's worst QB earlier in the week, all while carrying an enormous Hall of Fame legacy... i'll go out on a limb and say 'pressure'. |
