Re: need some advice on gameday plans

Parking Lot opens at 9 am - I actually have a bachelor party the night before, so I'll be one of the following:

A) Not drinking
B) Still drinking
C) Already drunk

This should probably be a poll question.
There's nowhere to go but up. Or down. I guess we could stay where we are, too.

The drive is not so bad, I make all home games and I am from Upstate NY. When I am in town I stay at the Washington Terrace. This place is totally amazing, you will be treated like a god and sleep like you never have before. Dinner there is a must! As far as the game tailgating is a must. Dont be in a hurry to leave, traffic is a bitch. Enjoy the game!

I might check into prices for the high speed amtrak train. It might takes a few more hours then a flight but it is much more comfy and no long check ins. If I remember right a flight from Boston to DC is like 2.5 hrs while the speed train is 5.5 hrs.
This is my signature, there are many like it, but this one is mine.

Re: need some advice on gameday plans

If you can, I would suggest staying downtown. That way, you can take Metro or walk everywhere, and not have to worry about a rental car. Traffic in this area is HELL. Avoid it at all costs. Fly into National, and either grab a taxi, the hotel's courtesy shuttle, or the Metro.

The city is incredible, and there is so much to do. So, I'd pick 1 or 2 big things you'd want to see, and then play the rest by ear. I know there are plenty of people to give you advice on where to eat, which bars to hit up, etc.

Game Day - hook up with other board members and just relax...get inside as early as you can, walk around, get your pictures in, etc. Enjoy the game, then tailgate all over afterwards.

Catch the Metro to the game, the station is just around the corner. Put a bottle of Champagne on ice in the hotel room for celebration when you get back, that's what I did.

How much is that a night? 100 -200 a night?

My ex worked for JD Power Hotel Division, I think we paid about $125 a night.

Worth calling them, it's in a great location IMO.
