| ESPN NFL Draft Show today Did anyone catch the 2 hour NFL Draft "hype" show today on ESPN at 1:00pm? Of course Mel Kiper was there. Several of the experts said, just out of pure athletic talent, OT Gallery and S Sean Taylor are the two best athletes in the entire draft. They also said Sean Taylor is the player most likely to make the biggest immediate impact on his new team. He will be an instant starter and will have the least amount of growing pains and adjustment to the NFL out of any rookie coming out this year. Of course this is speculation. Still I am sold. There will be another, new episode of this show tomorrow at 1:00pm, for those who are interested. Last edited by Defensewins; 04-20-2004 at 05:45 PM. |

| Gotta go with Taylor, if he gets snatched up before #5 then trade down, but if he's there he's a no-brainer. |

| I still dont know if I think hes a no brainer. Winslow would make our offense elite. Winslow will recreate teh hback position. My friend thats a Giants fan wants the Giants to draft Winslow, play him at hback and Shockey at TE. Its a scary thought. Ill be happy with Taylor or Winslow but we have a real need at TE or HBack but have safetys that can atleast hold their own.

| There's one huge problem with Winslow, the Poston brothers. Some of these recent quotes from Gibbs makes me think he doesn't want to deal with their nonsense. Quote:

| as a side note. i was reading some things on Winslow, his blocking and attitude. There is one time that everyone refers to, and why people say he has an attitude. It was the game we lost because of the QB, which he commented on. He also injured a player on the other team because he blocked him so hard, and made some comments about how its war or somethign like that. If you can knock a guy out while pulling for a halfback then id say you can do some damage for the skins.

I disagree with you on this real need, I still think that the TF or H-Back position can be filled with Mike Sellers. I also think that Matt Bowen is a bum, he is the only player you hear about trying to start fights with his own teammates. When you practice your are supposed to try to make each other better on both sides of the ball and not try to injure your own offensive player. Alot of good your offensive player will do when he is out 3-4 weeks because of a show-off like Bowen. Just think if he hits Portis like that and then Portis gets this freak injury and misses the season opener all because of Bowen's arrogance. | |

| I'll tell you what. If Bowen tries to hit Portis like he hit Canidate. He wont have the same success. Portis will run him right over. |

| Tayler is more that a safety. He is a playmaker. He will make teams fear throwing the ball down the middle of the field or even deep. He will all so give G. Williams a lot of flexibility on what kind of schemes to design. He's gonna have to come up with some good stuff with our d-line. IF tayler is gone trade down and pick vince wilfork. Please don't draft Winslow. |

| Gmanc711 I hope your right and not run him over but give him the freak injury. As you can see I am not a real big Bowen fan, to me he falls in the same divison as Jeff George. |

| Bowen and Ohalete are not very good. They are adequate at best. Plus the Free Safety position is a very important piece to a successful defense. All the recent Superbowl winners had at least one good safety. While I understan some of you folks that would like to have a fantasy league offense by adding Winslow... Repairing our defense and creating a balanced roster is more important. I don't want to be the KC Chiefs. |
