Re: Dallas will get sweet revenge

Revenge will be sweet!

I agree largely with sandtrapjack. Both teams will rely on their defenses. Both defenses will show up as well. I think both teams will stuggle on offense, but in the end Burnell's declining play will give the Cowboys the win.

Oh, and Roy gets a safety!

Dallas 15
Ratskins 10

Bad Snyder, bad.

Re: Cowboys-Redskins: Bad Matchups

Well, if Fraygeelay steps up and has a big game then I will start a Thread on Mon. morning saying I was completely wrong and he is a viable WR in this league. I doubt that's gonna happen, but ya never know. I think he's been given every opportunity to make it in this league, but for those darn hangnail injuries, he'd be in the Pro Bowl.

hmm...I seem to recall alot of talk about Brunell's decline and aging arm shortly before he scorched your secondary for 2 TDs in under a minute and a half.

Oh, and wasn't that your Ring of Honor night too?

Re: Dallas will get sweet revenge

This dude is from Miami! I would be willing to bet you have never been to Dallas a day in your life, have you? Did your uncle stay at a motel 6 there back in 85? Your cousin went to Baylor? Your best friend in Jr. High was Troy Aikman's second cousin? Sorry, not good enough. You know, whether we win or lose doesn't really matter, cos we'll still be real fans and you'll still be a bandwagon jumping little johnny come lately, and no amount of superbowls will ever change that.

Re: Dallas will get sweet revenge

i think it was john Thompson that said yesterday how pathetic it is that the cowboys are crying about getting revenge and the only thing the cowboy fans are saying is we are "gonna get revenge". We beat you once, you beat us 15 or whatever, we don't have a leg up on you until we win atleast two in a row. We are out for revenge for all those years compared to the cowboys and the two plays they have been crying over and eating icecream to like a dumped junior high girl. The SKINS ARE OUT FOR REVENGE AND THE DALLAS FANS ARE RIGHT ABOUT ONE THING, REVENGE WILL BE TAKEN

Re: Dallas will get sweet revenge

There is nothing to get revenge about from my standpoint. Revenge...what revenge?

Point in fact is Dallas lost that game by two terrible secondary defensive schemes and they beat themselves. Brunnel just took advantage of the blown coverage, as he should have.

Don't you think Bledsoe would have done the same thing if given the same opportunities that was given to Brunnel?

Too much on the line in this game to call it REVENGE. This is a game that will decide the playoffs for both teams. The winner will be a serious wild-card contender, and the loser will be on the outside of the playoff picture looking in.

This is not a grudge match, it is a game for survival after week 17.

fool you once, shame on us. fool you twice, same exact spot, same exact situation....you suck

yes, Bledsoe would've done the same thing except for the fact our defense doesn't suck.

If you notice the only time that Parcells "opens up the playbook" is at home in Texas Stadium. If he is going to have Bledoe throw the ball in excess of 30 times this weekend it will be in front of a very loud and hostile crowd. That is just programming our young tackles for failure by them getting numerous false starts from the noise and having to pass block.

I think MB3 gets most of the carries in the first half, and then when he has softened up the defense, Julius will come in late in the third quarter, fresh and rested.

Low scoring affair when these two defensive coordinators square off.

Dallas 13 Washington 10
Sand my man, I am not as rational as i usually am this week. I got massacred here after that Monday night defeat, and can't wait for this GAME TO START!!

I say 27 because the Skins interior line has been decimated by injury. I think we get 27 running the ball over our guards. I believe that both starting DT's for Wash are O-U-T. We have two runing backs that Parcells has a deegree of confidence in.

Also. Williams Defence is a system that the team has bought into, it is not based on freestyling and Athletic Ability. I like our chances of burning that system the second time around.

OK guy point taken, but to say the Dallas defense sucks is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black.

The Washington defense is ranked #9 in the NFL and Dallas Defense is ranked #10. The only thing that seperates the two is LESS THAN 2 YARDS of total yardage allowed. Dallas has allowed an average of 300.7 ypg and the Redskins defense has allowed 298.8 ypg. That is only a 1.9 yard difference over 13 games. If you do the math over 13 games the Dallas defense has only allowed 4 INCHES (not yards or feet, but INCHES) more per game than that of the Washington defense.

Dallas defense has allowed only 1/10th of a yard (.1) more in rushing than the Washington defense for the season.

Dallas defense has only allowed 1.8 yards more per game passing than that of Washington for the season.

Take it a bit further, the Redskins have allowed an average of 18.9 points per game whereas the Dallas defense has allowed and average of 17.9 points per game. I say this because games are won by POINTS and not yards, as was evident in week 2.

These defenses are the closest there is stat-wise in every category that they are almost identical.

So to say the Dallas defense sucks, well you better take a long hard look in the mirror.
