I would say we certainly aren't pigeonholed into a pick now. That being said, we will probably take the safety... ;-) | |

| Re: Our Cap Dudes: Still Brilliant Great stuff there. On a side note, I'm still baffled at how much money D'Angelo Hall has been paid since he's been in the league.

| Re: Our Cap Dudes: Still Brilliant Very good analysis, but one thing he said that I have trouble with, is the part about the release of the 10 players. That clearly could not have happened in a salary cap environment, or we would have be in true cap hell instead of skirting it as we have done these past so many years. That allowed us to clean the slate. AH and DH's renegotiations may allow us more flexibility going into the future, but dropping 30.5 million in dead weight players is a huge benefit for the team. I can't wait to see how the new CBA deals with all this money we've shuffled around. Maybe they will have a "Redskins Accounting Clause"! |

| Re: Our Cap Dudes: Still Brilliant Hater Good question. I know OT is a need but I wouldn't really reach for Williams, Bulaga, or Brown. Which I think we would be doing if we took any of them at 4 (though my own mock still has us taking TW at 4). I'm all for BPA in the first round, but within reason. Within reason meaning I wouldn't, for example, take Eric Berry unless Landry is gone. So I guess the same philosophy would apply then to Suh and McCoy. So I guess I'd say...Rolando McLain? No, probably not even him at #4 Tough question

| Re: Our Cap Dudes: Still Brilliant I would have considered Haden for sure about two months ago. I'm not as sold on him now, not at #4

| Re: Our Cap Dudes: Still Brilliant I'm assuming because of his 40 time? I agree that #4 would be too high. Especially with the other talent that will be available.

| Re: Our Cap Dudes: Still Brilliant We have holes all over the board. I guess they would know best how to fill those holes. I'd still prefer one of the more top ranked QB's vs. settling for a piece of work and hoping he developes within a year, but I do have concerns about our NT's injuries and will he be ready to start or even if he is will he be able to hold up. Then there is the issue of rotation. He's going to want to be relieved once and a while. My concerns in order are: QB OL NT LB NT and what ever else we need. You could almost interchange the LB and NT spot depending on depth in the draft. |
