| Re: Cap Analysis - Chill It, Skillet I'm fully aware. But its normally not much more than 2-3 million off from the average of the length. The second report saying that Morgan's deal is over 5 years seems to make things make sense. |

| Re: Cap Analysis - Chill It, Skillet When I say conventional math, I mean addition and subtraction. I know structuring contracts to maximize possibilities is tough, but looking at a cap sheet and figuring out if our team is under/over the cap is pretty straight forward. |

According to KFFL, the cap number should be about $2.9 million for Josh Morgan. Unless part of that $900,000 is on this year then it could be higher.

I originally heard 5 years, $12M with an out after year 2. But perhaps it's a 5 year deal for more, with Morgan taking in $12M over the first 2 years. The KFFL numbers imply this. Also the same site has this about Carriker's deal: "Updating a previous report, the contract Washington Redskins DL Adam Carriker agreed to Tuesday, March 13, including a $3 million signing bonus and $700,000 base salary for 2012. He can void the years 2013 through 2015 with a $1 million buyback. The base salaries for 2013 is for $3.7 million, $4.7 million for 2014 and $4.7 million for 2015." Looks like Carriker only got $3M guaranteed not $7M. Based on this Carriker's 2012 cap hit is $1.45M.

), and that's what the discussion was about. You originally said 8+6+5. But those are not the numbers that go onto our teams cap sheet. The right numbers are considerably lower.

| Re: Cap Analysis - Chill It, Skillet Interesting that Carriker negotiated a deal he can get out in just one year

| Re: Cap Analysis - Chill It, Skillet carriker's contract seems really redskins friendly... its basically a one year deal.

It is an interesting out clause for Carriker. The Skins probably gave him this option in exchange for less guaranteed overall.

| Re: Cap Analysis - Chill It, Skillet With the news that we've signed a few safeties and are close on re-signing London Fletcher, I think it's a sign that we've either reworked more contracts to create cap space, or that behind-the-scenes discussions with the NFL are taking place and potentially leaning towards a reduction of our cap penalty. The former is the more likely situation. I don't think these most recent signings would be possible without the creation of additional space. |

| Re: Cap Analysis - Chill It, Skillet A couple of contracts are expected to be restructured over the weekend. If they're not already We have around $6 million in cap space right now, as I understand it
