| Re: Redskins 2013 Salary Cap Status Joel Corry @corryjoel Logan Paulsen's 3-year deal is worth a max of $7M w/incentives & escalators. His signing bonus is $1.1M. The 3rd yr voids based on playtime. Rich Tandler @Rich_TandlerCSN Cap hit from Logan's deal probably $973K assuming he's getting 4th-year min this year. Will add $493K to cap after removing one from top 51 |

| Re: Redskins 2013 Salary Cap Status Moving fast and furious. Rob Jackson resigns for one year. Word is per Redskins Insider it's more cap friendly than the $1.3M tender he otherwise would have. If that proves to be the case, then I had overestimated the cost on Jackson. This gives us $0.8M more space than I had thought. 2013 Redskins Cap Room (Overage) At Start: ($2.7) Moves Made to Date: Released Jamaal Brown $0.2 Resigned Darrell Young ($1.0) temporary assumption Resigned Logan Paulsen ($0.5) Rob Jackson: ($0.8) 2013 Redskins Cap Room (Overage) Current: ($4.8) Roster Cuts or Restructures: DeAngelo Hall $7.5 Santana Moss $3.7 Josh Wilson $3.2 Adam Carriker $2.2 Maximum Cap Space Created through Cuts or Restructures: $16.6 Priority Resignings/Replacements: Fred Davis or similar TE: ($2.5) Kory Lichtensteiger: ($2.5) Lorenzo Alexander: ($1.8) Nick Sundberg or similar LS: ($0.3) Sav Rocca or similar P: ($0.4) Tyler Polumbus: ($1.1) Cap Space Required for Resignings/Replacements ($8.6) Rookie Pool Impact ($0.5) Anticipated Cap Space Available for Free Agency: $2.7 |

| Re: Redskins 2013 Salary Cap Status If that's the case then my listed cap number is probably too high for him. If you can link me to a source on that then I'll make a change. |

| Re: Redskins 2013 Salary Cap Status I like what the Redskins have been doing thus far. This three day window is perfect for locking up the player who will sign for below market (exception to Darrel Young, who is a key cog in our offense), and letting those who won't hit free agency. The Redskins should be in good cap situation next year. This year's team is probably going to take a hit in the depth category, but the signings of yesterday will help that hit.

| Re: Redskins 2013 Salary Cap Status From what I gather, all of these signings so far, except for possibly Jackson, will count as minimum deals against the cap this year. I think we will sign Davis and still be able to sign a Chris Clemons or someone like that. And Maybe a Greg Toler. But I am surprised they have not released Hall yet or Moss. I think if they were not trying to renegotiate those contracts they would have already cut them. It would only add to the supply out there, decreasing demand. |

| Re: Redskins 2013 Salary Cap Status Yeah, I agree, but they would have already released those guys if they did not want them. Give me one good reason they have not released them yet. Last edited by T.O.Killa; 03-10-2013 at 04:58 PM. |

| Re: Redskins 2013 Salary Cap Status I was wondering why as well, and the only thing I can come up with, for a guy like Hall would be the club doesn't want to give him the four extra days of pre FA negotiating time hoping that they will be some how prices below what they may be willing to get. I don't know it may be a weak reason and not accurate but I can't figure out why they just don't execute some of these moves.

Also, they could still holding out hope regarding the cap situation, or still contemplating going nuclear with a suit. | |

| Re: Redskins 2013 Salary Cap Status Ok, but if they do it now like everyone else then they add supply to the market and drives down the cost of players, theoretically. I just dont see why they would wait unless they wanted to keep these guys. |
