How many playoff wins and SB wins a guy has doesn't matter when you're determining his worth. Teams don't even consider it. As they shouldn't.
Age though is something that all teams consider, and there's a big difference between 28 and 33. The final four years of this deal are going to be mostly noise, but I think the Cowboys are going to regret somewhat giving Romo starting quarterback job security through 2015. I don't think they'll be very competitive in our division over that timeframe.
I think the bigger news here is that the Cowboys are all in for 2013. After that point, they're basically going to be the post Al Davis Raiders. They can only improve their team through the draft and they are going to lose veteran pieces that could still help because of contractual issues.
