With Patten, Moss, and Thrash secured, and Antonio Brown seemingly locking up the main kick and punt returner spot, it meant a choice between Dyson, Jacobs and McCants. Based solely on their performances as Redskins, McCants has by far the most production.
You have to give the nod to the coaches using their best judgement, but I don't like the move.

McCants was a fifth round pick in 2001, Jacobs was a 2nd rounder in 2003....more invested and more time for him to reach his potential.
McCants isn't a good practice player or very good on special teams, Jacobs is.
I've always been a big Darnerien fan, but I understand this decision...
