And to answer your question, if Garçon goes down, (and he did last year) Briscoe still didn't 'play' other than serve as a decoy. You guys are liking Royal to a stud fantasy player but, the truth is he's no better than Moss, Garçon, or Morgan given the same opportunities.

If one of the receivers goes down, how is putting Royal in the game going to mess with chemistry more than putting Briscoe in? Its not like Briscoe is getting tons of reps, as you said, he didnt even play when the injuries happened. Well, then there is no chemistry to mess up when it comes to Briscoe.
If you have the opportunity to upgrade the team without a huge salary cap hit, then you do it.
This all may be a mute point anyways since there is a chance we keep 4 TE's this year. Meaning Briscoe may already be replaced by Jordan Reed.
