Why would a Mohawk Indian be commenting on the Beothuks? The Mohawk Indians regularly invaded the Beothuks to capture them as slaves. As well as the Mi'kmaq Indians, who allied with the French and were paid by the French to drive the Beothuks inland as the French wanted coastal Canada to themselves.
