Yes, here's why:
If you look at the largest point spreads in NFL history only the 1976 Steelers covered a -27 vs. Tampa in their first season. Other games where Dogs covered:
NE in 2007: -24 PHI, -20.5 NYJ, -22 MIA
SF -24 vs CIN 1993
SF -23.5 @ ATL 1987
DAL -23 vs TB 1977
NE -21 at TB 1976
- Henne will start at QB, veteran and likely to protect the ball better than Gabbert.
- Broncos D has given up 23 to NYG and 21 to OAK, averaging 27 per game.
- Jax has one of the higher SoS so far, DEN one of the lower.
