I've said this before and I'll say it again.. We must go back to a 4-3 defense. It is easier to get the right players when drafting... Most colleges don't run a 3-4 defense. Our OL minus Williams needs to be replaced. We need a couple of wr's. With RAK (if we resign him)and Kerrigan as DE, Colfield, J Jenkins DT (or Bowen). R Jackson WLB, Riley MLB (unless we we can some one better). SLB - to be determined. CB & Safety need to be overhauled. There is no way all the holes can be addressed in 1 offseason...

Of course we'rte getting an overhaul. This year's roster was assembled with only 85% of the salary cap that the rest of the team had to spend. No way we could field the best team we could...the guys that would have been signed could not fit into our budget.
I am excited to see what Allen and Shanahan will do with the full cap. Haslett and the D are a liability and he needs to go, but the offense is one of the better in the league, stat-wise and that's with Griffin's slow start.
Give the Shanahans another year with a full cap and competitive roster at their disposal.
We can score points. We can't stop anyone though. The overhaul needs to be on defense but we can finally afford some WRs and hopefully a new line to protect Griffin. Amazing, we have the best running game in the league but they can't protect on pass plays to save their QB's life.
