We keep discussing who our next coach will be and how the Redskins won’t be able to get a top tier coach. Let’s discuss the top tier coaches that are currently available. The only one that may coach again is Jon Gruden. So when Tony Dungy says “He would never coach for an owner like Snyder” I don’t care. He was a tier 2 coach until he went to Indy.
Tony Dungy – analyst, probably will not coach again Win% 139-69
· Rebuilt Tampa but couldn’t win the big game
· Went to Indy and won a super bowl with Peyton Manning
Jon Gruden – analyst, probably will coach again Win% 95–81 (.540)
· Rebuilt the Raiders but couldn’t win the big game
· Went to Tampa and won a super bowl
Bill Cohwer – analyst, probably will not coach again Win% 149–90–1
· Rebuilt the Steelers and won multiple super bowls
Brian Billick – analyst, probably will not coach again Win% 85-67-0
· Rebuilt the Ravens and won a super bowl
