I think a lot of Schaub's problems last year were due to playcalling and Duane Brown's injury. But he's already peaked, and I think even O'Brien would have trouble getting him to perform like he did in 2012. And he's already 32, so even if O'Brien would work his QB magic on Schaub and get him back to a Pro Bowl level, it would only last a few more years. Passing up a QB like Bridgewater would be a huge mistake, even if it meant getting a player like Clowney or Dennard. The QB position is the most important, and Bridgewater would immediately fill that hole; plus, being only 21, they would have a franchise QB longterm.
If McNair wants more high draft picks to take impact defensive players, he needs to trade Schaub away.
