At 2:21 one of the cops takes a swipe at the guy's kneecap with his baton before the guy has made one aggressive act. Later the guy is screaming for help and saying he can't breathe. Yeah the jury found them innocent, but that's just as likely due to parlor tricks and the police have better defense attorneys than a junior state DA tasked with standing up for a homeless guy, and probably less then stellar citizen.
