If the PAT is eventually changed, this is a solution I could learn to live with.

Yes, I was a little heated when I typed that.
And the point of the NFL
is to entertain fans, but when you do away with an integral part of the game so the fans are more entertained, then you're sacrificing the great game of football for mere entertainment. I don't think any part of the game should be changed so the fans enjoy it more. It's lasted for many years, so why change it now? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
