Golden Tate got the Paul Kruger deal this year, one that Detriot will regret for years, he's a terrible player, a #2, borderline #3.
Riley Cooper is a clear #2 and got 25 mil, possession guy. A guy who is not a game changer, but can make some unbelievable 8 yard receptions.
Eric Decker flat robbed the bank. He ends up in a spot where he has to be the man and gets no help. The Jets front office is a joke, this is the worst of all the contracts. He's a borderline #2, more like a #3.
Folks we get a game changer for 3 years at 24 million. 24 million. A #1 WR, the biggest deep threat receiver in the game today. Wow

I was actually going to try to argue this saying that Golden Tate should put up big numbers on the other side of Megatron, but I just looked at their stats and not since 2011 has anyone on the Lions offense gone for more than 750 receiving yards in a season and that was by Brandon Pettigrew, a TE. That said, look at the relative talent and durability of the guys who are lining up across from Megatron and you have to conclude that Golden Tate is the best #2 receiver they've had; better than Burleson who was putting up solid numbers last season before he had to keep his pizza from sliding off the passenger seat.
I'm not sure that Golden Tate changes their offense in any significant way, but I think it's a solid signing for them. However, at $1.8 million more per year, I'd much rather have DeSean Jackson
