They're wrong. On Jackson's deal specifically, it's a 3 year deal but only two years are a real commitment. We could cut him after year 2 and generate a lot of savings on the 3rd season. Or if he works out real well, keep him. The signing bonus was low, so there's not a lot of dead money risk.
As for the Redskins' long term cap situation, there's oodles of room there that will allow them to extend RG3, Orakpo, Trent, Kerrigan and Morris if they so choose.
