I tend to believe that Haslett is simply not a top notch DC, with or w/out Shanahan. Some guys ( like Greg Williams and Rob Ryan) can just come in, mix and match and make improvements right away. I think what's most frustrating about his defenses is the tackling issue. Do they teach these guys how to tackle anymore? I know it's a league wide issue. The guys on Seattle and SF? They wrap up and tackle.
