Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III OK with less attention -- 'It's about we' - ESPN
The article itself was pretty basic off-season fodder BUT I thought the following quote from Gruden was interesting:
Quote:
"He [Griffin] doesn't like negative publicity," Gruden said. "He wants everything to be right. He wants everybody to love Robert and that's not always going to be the case at the quarterback position."

I have never bought into the "RGIII is a diva" concept - just too much evidence that he is a hard worker and is very well liked/respected by his teammates. However, I
do think the guy
wants to be liked. Not in a "look at me" or "me first" way, but in a "Let's all be pals" kind of way. Unfortunately, being an NFL QB is similar to supervising others - you can't always be their buddy.
I can also see how this would clash with a head coach like Shanahan who really didn't appear to give a flying f*** if anyone liked him as long as they respected him.
