Thank's Matty!

Here is what I found.

Ten Undrafted Rookies Added
By Gary Fitzgerald

April 27, 2004

With the Redskins having a limited number of picks heading into the 2004 NFL Draft, head coach Joe Gibbs has stressed the importance of finding quality undrafted rookie free agents once the draft ended Sunday night.
Gibbs hopes at least one of the 10 players the team has agreed to terms with on Tuesday develops into a quality starter, if not a Pro Bowl player.

The list of undrafted rookie free agents, which includes four defensive linemen and three wide receivers, is as follows:

Ryan Boschetti, DL, UCLA
Jonathan Brewer, WR, Howard
Rufus Brown, CB, Florida State
Quinn Christensen, OL, BYU
Norman Heuer, DL, Michigan
William Strother, LB, New Mexico
John Standeford, WR, Purdue
Garnell Wilds, CB, Virginia Tech
Jafar Williams, WR, Maryland
Dennard Wilson, S, Maryland
Wilson is a local product who grew up in Upper Marlboro, Md., and attended DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Md. Wilson, Williams and Brewer were in attendance at the team's local workout in early April.

All of the rookie free agents, as well as the Redskins' four NFL Draft selections from last weekend, will be in attendance at the team's second mini-camp of the offseason from April 30-March 2.

Ryan Boschetti
Position: Defensive tackle
College: UCLA
Height: 6-4
Weight: 306

OVERVIEW
Underrated talent who joined Rodney Leisle in forming one of the premier defensive tackle tandems in college football … Joined the Bruins after excelling at the College of San Mateo (2000-01), where he was rated the best defensive tackle in the junior college ranks … Spent the 2003 offseason adding weight and strength to his frame and the results were evident by his stellar play as a senior … Boschetti is a very athletic player with good technique … He is very aggressive on the field and as the team's tallest of the tackles, he does a good job breaking up passes … Started 18 of 23 games at UCLA, recording 66 tackles (47 solos) with four sacks for minus-24 yards, 13 stops for losses of 36 yards, two forced fumbles, three pass deflections and a blocked kick.
ANALYSIS
Positives: Has a thick chest, broad shoulders, long, muscular arms and large hands … Makes proper reads off the snap, using his hands effectively to push off the blockers … Does a nice job of breaking down and diagnosing the plays, showing good alertness working through traffic … Holds his ground firmly, showing a wide leg base to prevent blockers from pushing him around … Takes on blocks with aggression and knows how to extend his arms to fend off the cut block … Reacts quickly to the offensive lineman's movement and works out of any disadvantage with forceful arm swipes … More of a technique and wrap tackler rather than an explosive one, but uses his arms well to stalk and secure the ball carriers … More suited for a two-gap system, as he feels comfortable when taking on plays in front of him rather than working down the line.

Negatives: Lacks the foot speed and change of direction agility to get out of his stance quickly … Seems better tackling in the box, as he does not have the top-end speed to cover ground in space … Can push the pocket, but does not have the burst to get to the quarterback (has a good straight-line force move, but fails to adjust and redirect quickly) … Has a good blue-collar work ethic, but needs to show his aggression more consistently … His lack of ideal body control and flexibility will cause him to get locked out or walled off by blockers on traps and pulls.
AGILITY TESTS
5.14 in the 40-yard dash … 420-pound bench press … 33 3/8-inch arm length … 10 1/8-inch hands … Right-handed.

and
Boschetti is a transfer from the College of San Mateo. He was a prolific pass rusher in 2000 and 2001 at San Mateo, garnering 24 sacks in two years. Contributing 43 tackles in 13 games this year, he led the defensive line in that category. An athletic player with good quickness and technique, he is adept at getting his hands up and taking away passing lanes. A weakness is his lack of explosiveness off the ball, and he lacks downfield speed to make plays outside of the box. He also needs to develop quicker hands and improve his pass rushing moves. Boschetti is good at locating the ball and focusing on where the play is intended to go.

Heuer - DT 6'5", 288, 5.1 40yd

BIO: Three-year starter that posted 16/3/1 after 31/9/5 the prior year.

POSITIVES: Hard-working lineman with the frame to add bulk and strength to his body. Quick off the snap, plays with leverage and good pad level. Gets push up the field and competes hard to make the play.

NEGATIVES: Lacks balance, handled in one-on-one blocking situations and neutralized at the point. Lacks speed to the flanks and the ability to quickly close on the ball handler.

ANALYSIS: A prospect that must get bigger and stronger, Heuer must blossom into a space eater on the inside to have a shot.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent

Little tidbit about Heuer...

During the draft, Redskins representatives told Heuer that if the player they wanted in the sixth round - Notre Dame offensive tackle Jim Molinaro -
wasn't available, they'd pick Heuer. Molinaro ended up getting drafted by Washington, but the Redskins (who didn't have a seventh-round choice)
remembered Heuer. The 6-5, 288-pound Heuer had been scouted by the Redskins' Shemy Schembechler, son of former Michigan coach Bo Schembechler. "I think this is the best situation for me," Heuer said. "They've been very interested in me since the beginning."

that's from allthingsMichigan

I remember him in college. He's not bad. I think he was injured of and on @ UM. He's really tall. Could be a nice space eater in the middle.

Rufus Brown
Position: Cornerback
College: Florida State
Height: 5-9
Weight: 190
Hometown: El Paso, Texas

Analysis | Agility | High School | Personal
OVERVIEW
Steady performer for the Seminoles who was a valuable part of the team's cornerback rotation … Durable and tough competitor who never missed a game due to injuries … In 50 contests, he started 31 times, recording 100 tackles (79 solos) with four stops for losses of 10 yards, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, four interceptions for 61 yards in returns (15.3 avg.) and 17 pass deflections.
ANALYSIS
Positives: Has good overall muscle development … Has the speed to come up and support vs. the run, using his hands effectively to take receivers off their routes … Has adequate foot agility and body control in his backpedal … Shows very good acceleration to recover on deep routes … Has natural hands and good ball skills to make the interception in front of him … His straight-line quickness and burst allows him to recover when beaten … Shows a good change of direction agility when moving laterally.

Negatives: His small, narrow frame has little room for additional and needed bulk … Has a bit of edge to him and works to his own agenda … Not one you would look towards for leadership and struggles with hard coaching … Does not have much feel for pass routes and is slow at times to anticipate and jump into the play … Lacks the short area quickness needed in man coverage (will get turned around) … Will lose position coming out of transition and his breaks working in the zone are not clean … Takes extra steps coming out of his backpedal, but does have the speed to recover … Lacks true aggression and does not seem willing to play vs. the run (takes blocks on softly and will lose leverage on the play) … Marginal open-field tackler who will miss at times, especially when he dips his shoulder and ducks his head upon contact.
AGILITY TESTS
4.5 in the 40-yard dash … 320-pound bench press … 410-pound squat … 276-pound power clean … 34½-inch vertical jump … 9-foot-6 broad jump … 30-inch arm length … 9¾-inch hands … Right-handed.

There may be more!
