Re: Cowboys vs Skins: Pre-Game thread

Don't get me wrong, I think Dallas isn't likely as good as its record would suggest, but it's hard to see how we win this game. We have our #3 QB (most likely) playing, we've just lost one of our two starting OLBs, we're already missing a starting CB and a starting nickelback, our starting NT, and we've otherwise had significant injuries elsewhere as well. All teams have injuries, but teams without significant depth (us) have a far harder time recovering from that. Also, we have committed lots of bad penalities (one of the most penalized teams in the league), and with the exception of last week, special teams has been sub-standard. We also don't generate turnovers or convert third downs particularly well.

I'd love to think that with our backs against the wall, guys will step up on a nationally televised game and put up a real fight. But Dallas will likely smell blood from the get go, and let's be honest, our Monday night games have largely been disasters as of late. To keep this game close, we will need Romo to have a crap night with some picks, and we'll have to play mistake-free football, which we really haven't done much this season.

I'd like to be optimistic that we will get a win (and how sweet would it be to bring the Cowboys crashing back to Earth in their own place). And while one never knows what will happen in a rivaly game like this, I just can't see us winning this one.
