Now imagine a West Coast team playing a 1 PM game in London which is 5 AM on the West Coast. Then again it would have some potential to work if the London team during the regular season was given their own day. Like Thursday Night Football would just turn into London games.
Right but like I said when would you play the games? Normally Thursday's game starts at 8pm Est, that is midnight or 1 am GMT(depending on daylight savings time). You going to sell tickets to an event that ends at 4 am local time, or do the visiting teams fans not get to see the game live because is on at noon on a work day. Plus you think teams complain about Thursday games now? Wait till they lose a whole day to travel. Eight hour flight plus eight hour time zone change. Would be heck of a home field advantage, because of jet lag alone.
