Again, "part of the decision process" is fine. The man writes the checks. Everyone on the team and in the front office is
his employee. As long as he is not "Jerry Jonesing" and/or otherwise cutting the legs out from under the coach, I am okay with him saying to Gruden "Look, this is the franchise guy, he starts unless you can tell me a real good reason he doesn't."
If Gruden is saying "No way, no how should we be starting Griffin b/c [whatever reason given]" and Snyder is over riding him that's one thing. I just don't get think Gruden is saying that.
