Re: Washington Post FAILS!!!

Might I ad that one of the columns on the main Redskins page is by Mike Wise named,"Questionable Naming Rights". It has been on the Redskins main page since Sept 17th. The article is about how a dc area transplant tried to understand the word, "Redskins" as a professional teams 'mascot' and now is defintely convinced it's racist, etc. To me it's never been racist cause I associate the best as Charlie Taylor, Darrell Green, Art Monk, etc. They are black. Is saying that racist? I understand if you look at the word Redskins that could be racist with an Indian as a mascot. But as a lifelong Redskins fan I consider my home team Indians to be an incredible fighting bunch (especially under Joe Gibbs). Dexter Manley to Jacoby. Alvin Walton, Geris White, Joe Washington, Mike Nelms, Gary Clark, Clint Didier and Earnest Byner. Hard working, blue collar giving it your all Redskins. Racism was and still is the farthest thing in my mind when reading or saying or hearing the word Redskins. Sorry I'm ranting, but real pissed this guy Mike Wise's article has been on the front page of the WASHINGTON POST/ SPORTS/ REDSKINS section. I'll throw in on sending him back to whatever paper or city he came from. Save the political jabs for another section!!!
