^^ Agreed. If you want the franchise QB, you pay. To me, any deal in which the 5th pick goes requires two firsts this year or, if you don't have it, 1st & 2nd this year and your 1st next year (plus more TBD - the two 1's or two 1's and a 2 is just the baseline). I really don't care what the trade chart says.

At 5, we have a shot at Cooper & Williams - to me, the two safest picks in the whole draft. Alternatively, we have a shot at a potential franchise QB in Mariotta (me, I am not sold on MM but plenty of folks are and QB's demand premium prices). Anyone wanting a shot at one of those three needs to pay.

In this draft, the talent drop after six is significant and any trade back increases the chances of a miss on the pick so multiple picks are needed to make up for the lower chance of success on each of the picks.
