Okay lets try this then. Since I can't argue all the behind the scenes speculations.
Would you agree that its fair to say that however Griffin feels about read-option he will run in fact do it? As evidenced but him actually running read option in 2013 less then 8 months after reconstructive knee surgery?

I've seen Kirk and McCoy run a few read option plays in the pre season. Jay hasn't called them for Robert. But I do believe that's the ace up his sleeve, I think he'll call them some.
Robert still has the explosiveness, see that end-of-half dash for the TD against the Giants last year, the one where he fumbled the ball as he crossed the goalline. He has the explosion back. I still don't think he knows how to avoid contact well, but if Jay gets him running a bit, I think he'll do better.
If you're Robert, and it's essentially your contract year with everything to prove, I have to think you'd be willing to run the read option. Or do anything to earn a job / second contract. Especially when next season is guaranteed for $16M against injury.
If asked he will run it, and run it hard. Question is how much does Jay call it. We'll see.
