If they like Matt Jones better and view him as the future....then don't phase Alf out.
Imo the right strategy is too use him up until the wheels fall off.
He's a proven back in this league.
Give a boatload of carries get his numbers up, thus creating value.
Then trade him before the trade deadline while you still hold his rights.
