Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?
I admit that I am a Kirk skeptic. He has made huge strides in winning me over with his last three games. If he plays well - accurate throws, no his-fault INT's - at Carolina, I will be much more positive in my outlook. If he throws out a clunker, it will be a confirmation that he is still inconsistent.
It's like having a 70% at midterms, you need to pretty much do "A" quality work from there on out to end up with a B.
Cousins has three years of C work (or worse). So far this year, in total, he has been inconsistent and, at times, horrible. I believe he is our best option this year and next. We should resign him - or extend him - soon. For me to believe he has actually changed his inconsistent ways for good, he really needs to play well (not great, not perfectly, not mistake free - just well) the rest of the way out. Unlike other established QB's, and in my opinion, he has not won the luxury of a "benefit of the doubt" game.
His last three games were A and A+ work. It would be great if he could continue it or even maintain a quality "B." He has seven more games - here's hoping he has truly, truly turned the corner.
