Cousins has succeeded expectations. And I truly think he has turned more than one corner in his development. But he accomplished this in a contract year. That's why I'm a little concerned.

He actually accomplished this after starting enough games to develop into a good QB. The fact that it's a contract year is coincindental. Most really good QBs struggled in their first season as a starter. How many of them reverted back to their rookie year struggles after finally "figuring it out"? You're concerned about something that is extremely rare.
