I really don't believe there are ulterior motives as to why LaVar isn't playing.
I don't think it has anything to do with Holdman outperforming him as much as it has to do with what Holdman doesn't do (freelance), and what Arrington doesn't do (stay honest to the schemes).
Williams has said that he expects his guys to practice the way they play. If Arrington isn't proving himself in practice, why should he be playing?
This staff has already set this precedent with players like McCants. You either practice the way you play or you don't play on Sundays.
