orbital fracture is no joke. depending on how bad his is (tripod or not), you are looking at 2 corrective surgeries, hardware installed (metal plates, screws, plastic to hold the eye ball in place), reduced vision in that eye, possible permanent disfigurement.

And a large civil lawsuit if someone was to be found guilty of inflicting that injury.
