well, "business is business"...so this needs to play out.

The Franchise Tag might be the best option, if they're really that far apart. We need to make sure we don't fall into the Joe Flacco scenario, where we overpay for mediocre QB play in the future.

The Transition Tag shouldn't even be in the discussion, because the 'Skins get nothing in compensation if someone else decides to over pay.
