I was calling for Cousins head at the beginning of the year because he was playing like garbage and basically losing us games with his backbreaking interceptions. I think he knew that he was on a short leash if it didn't get better and he manned up and look at how good he is doing now.

If nothing else, bring in some FA kickers and work them out at Redskins Park, at least get in Hopkins head that they are looking at his position now and if he starts sucking, he's gone. Some players respond well from pressure like that and someone breathing on their neck, some don't. Not sure which kind hopkins is.
I think Hopkins has certainly earned enough of leash that his job is safe. If he was brand new then maybe, but as I said, he's made plenty of big kicks around here. If you cut him then you're bringing back in guys like Forbath. No thanks.
