they're a lot of fun to play w, norman usually gets at least 1 int every game i actually play. when i sim a season, the offense and defense usually finish 1st and 1st, w the offense doubling the yardage allowed by the defense.
w so many stars and their salaries on the rise each season, i had to get creative w cap space. one trick is trading all draft picks 2 years into the future so i don't have any rookie pool counting against my cap while re-signing players or entering free agency. after free agency (and trading most/all of the players i've signed in free agency) i'll trade back into the current draft using the future picks.
another trick is cutting a player and re-signing him if his contract is about to explode in the following season. for example, before the 2019 season i cut t williams and his $8+m 2019 salary, absorbed a minimal dead cap hit in 2019, and a $1.7+m dead cap hit in 2020. immediately re-signed him for 1 year / $7+m in 2019 and will re-sign him again after the season. i think his cap hit would have been something like $13m or $14m in 2020, now it should be around $5m or $6m.
