I wonder how JG actually feels about taking over the offense again. Does the fact that they didn't hire a new OC mean that he's more on the hook for KC's success. I don't think our new DC can step in and handle the game side enough to relieve Gruden of any game time defensive responsibilities, so I could see our offense suffering just from the pressures placed on Gruden in close games.
I think when you have a WR with Jackson's speed you can pass on first down because of how concerned the safeties had to be with him. I think we'll find the defenses aren't quite as stretched this year, and the staff knows they'll need a battering ram to soften them a bit.

And that doesn't even speak to the red zone. Everything works better around the 5 when the LBs' first step has to be forward instead of backward.
