While I don't think Flacco's contract has caused Balt's problems, I do know that football is a dependent game where every player is dependent on the other players for success and no position is more dependent that the QB. Right now the players Flacco is dependent on aren't producing and as a result he looks worse than he really is.

Certainly fair. Also explains why Cousins shows as one of the top 5 rated passers yet the eye test says he's not. Cousins is surrounded by an offensive line that can turn screen passes to Chris Thompson from 8 yard plays into 80 yard plays.
Flacco and Cousins have one thing in common - they're not going to elevate the play of those around them. Committing them means you need to create the near perfect surrounding cast or you're going to bump your head on 10-6.
I think we're saying the same thing just differently.
