We could have penciled in a good starting QB in our lineup for years, cheaply, from within our own team. Something other teams would love to have the luxury of doing. Instead, the Front Office jerks him around with tag after tag, (overpaying him in the process so if anyone should be mad at the Front Office it's the fans wanting us to build a good team under the cap lol), creating all this uncertainty inside the team and outside tag year after tag year. And for what? So we can let Kirk go in his prime?
tl,dr: Fate basically gift-wrapped a franchise QB to us, and our Front Office couldn't handle the situation.

You know the old saying, hindsight is 20/20. Mike Shanahan knew right away what the Redskins would have in Kirk Cousins, and that's why he lobbied to draft Cousins. Had the FO listened to Shanahan, the Redskins would've never given up those picks for RGIII, Cousins would've been the guy, we would've gotten him wrapped up on a LTD years ago, much cheaper, and the team would've been in much better shape. Not trying to be a mark for Shanahan, but just starting to see that the more you look at this contract situation with Cousins, the more you see that what Shanahan was saying and doing wasn't wrong.
Anyway, only thing I know is, it's going to be an interesting offseason.
