Redskins trade for Alex Smith

Colt and a rookie? Not an acceptable solution.

Bridgewater coming off a knee? Bradford? Fragile his whole career.

I hate giving up Fuller, that’s a valuable piece. But if you asked me if I’d rather give Fuller and a 3rd for Smith, or go for one of these other bad options, I think I’d take Alex Smith.

Here’s why:

Smith INTs the last three years, 5, 8, 7. Cousins, 13, 12, 11.

Smith’s fumbles 2, 7, 4. Cousins, 13, 9, 9.

The only acceptable solution to me would have been going with a rookie but that’s such a big roll of the dice with not having a top 10 pick.

Maybe a trade for someone like McCarron I could have lived with too. I’m not a Bridgewater fan at all, Bradford’s injuries rule him out for me too. McCoy? Absolutely not.

Honestly I wasn’t even thinking seriously about Smith.
