Yeah you're right on both counts, under my scenario it would be $19M in 2018 meaning we have $34M of cap space for 2018.

On the FT value for Zach Brown, I don't know the number for 2018, but I know you're not going to like it. In 2017 the tag value for a "linebacker" was $14.5M. The NFL does not distinguish between MLBs and edge rushing LBs in a 3-4 scheme, they're all lumped in together. So Von Miller's astronomical figure counts towards the average in figuring out what a linebacker is worth.

So we'd never want to tag Zach. It wouldn't even be worth it. So that's probably why there seems to be promising movement on the Zach Brown talks, see here:
