Punch, I agree with your point to a degree. I think though it goes back to who trusted who. In my opinion, Pres Obama would sell out the US capitalistic beliefs in a heartbeat, and when he made treaties, he was looking for us to move towards more socialism, and his deals often if not always favored our opponents. In my opinion, Trump is looking for more capitalistic, US friendly or US win deals.

If the same exact events happened under Pres Obama, I would have felt far less secure and far more like he was selling us out. I don't believe Pompeo, or Bolton are going to be taken by surprise and I believe they are going to help ensure that any treaties that may be signed are truly verifiable.

I would also add that the exact same in reverse could be said about CNN/MSNBC hosts, IF Pres Obama had made these exact same actions, CNN and MSNBC would have been slobbering over him.
