What creates people hating the US, in my opinion, is giving false hope. I know the point that the media and liberals were trying to make, and
it was as much a lie as that picture. We aren't putting kids in concentration camps. And if a person commits an illegal act in any US state, they are going to be separated from their kids. We have a legal process for immigration, and every country has an absolute right to establish immigration processes.
As a generalized statement, liberals want pure open borders, and that isn't available by any other country in the world.
I actually support a very generous LEGAL immigration policy, but that's up to Congress to write the laws. I fault both parties, and the past 2 presidents in not dealing with this issue. I think Trump made a reasonable effort to establish 4 basic guidelines and told Congress to work it out. Congress hasn't been able to work out anything, and in the case of the House, the Republicans just want to bicker rather than pass any effective measure.
