The perfect example of the bad play calling is the last minute and half of the game. Gibbs went twice to Jacobs who was covered instead of being his old Gibbsesque self.
They did not methodically exploit the middle and march down the field to be in a position to get a TD or a FG. They would have guaranteed themselves a FG and then take a shot at the end zone. This is so unlike Gibbs in the past.
Other thing: too many calls for Portis to run in the middle when sometimes he's very good at bouncing off the crowd and going outside for big gains.
Simple: bad game management and lack of mental focus all around.
